Wheelock moves to Omdia: Clint Wheelock brings more than 20 years of market research and consulting experience to Omdia, where he has been appointed Senior Vice President, GTM Insights & Advisory. He previously served as Managing Director at Canopy Edge, Chief Research Officer at The Futurum Group, and was Co-Founder and CEO of Dash Network. He also spent more than six years at Informa, including as Chief Research Officer, Omdia. In his new role, he leads a team delivering go-to-market research and analysis to technology companies spanning data analytics and AI, IT infrastructure, and cloud and IT operations and other key topics.

News Corp partners with Symbolic.ai Inc: The deal will see News Corp using the Symbolic.ai Inc, AI native-publisher platform, in its newsrooms to augment research, writing and publishing. Deployment will begin at Dow Jones Newswires, as the platform assists with routine tasks, audio transcription, document extraction, newsletter creation, and fact-checking.
Beavins leaves Fierce Healthcare: Emma Beavins recently announced her last day as a health tech journalist. Having worked at Inside Health and, more recently, Fierce Healthcare, she bowed out of Fierce with a story that takes a look behind the rise of the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) and the collapse of its assurance labs.
Role change at Bloomberg for Molero: In January, Guillermo Molero began a new role as Wires Deputy Team Leader for North America Breaking News at Bloomberg News. Central New York Business Journal Closes: After nearly 40 years, the last issue of the Central New York Business Journal was published on January 26. President Marny Nesher, who took over the lead of the publication from her parents in 2014, commented, “Our focus was always on delivering credible, trusted content to a highly engaged business audience, and doing so with consistency, care, and respect for the community we served. Washington Post Publisher and CEO resigns amid layoffs: Jeff D’Onofrio, formerly chief executive at art and fandom site Tumblr, has been appointed as acting publisher and CEO, replacing former CEO, Will Lewis. Lewis announced his resignation following the announcement of 30% layoffs at the publication, including 300 of the 800 journalists.
