Prior to this appointment, Herrera spent seven years at The Wall Street Journal, writing about Amazon, Microsoft, AI, cloud computing and more.
Oreskovic moves up at Fortune: Also at Fortune, Alexei Oreskovic has been promoted and added the title of West Coast Bureau Chief as well as Tech Editor to his role at the publication. For more than two decades, Oreskovic has chronicled the evolution of technology including the birth or smartphones and rise of social networks, working for publications such as Business Insider and Reuters.
WIRED hires Ward: Isabella Ward has joined WIRED as Staff Writer in London to tell ‘stories about how technology across Europe is changing lives.’ Previously a data analyst at Bloomberg and reporter for Bloomberg News, Ward says she will continue to focus on quantum tech coverage in this new role.
Changes at The Information: Erin Woo is now covering OpenAI for the publication. In a role that she says ‘most assumed she already had’ she will be focused on the IPO over the next few months but also, long term safety, policy and AI culture. Woo has been a reporter for The Information, for a little more than 4 years. Before that she worked at The New York Times.
