Questex to Consolidate Fierce Properties
Changes are coming to the Fierce news family. For the past twenty years, Fierce Telecom and Fierce Wireless have been providing news and analysis for the fixed and mobile telecommunications industries. Questex, the Fierce operating company, announced at Mobile World Congress last week that it was going to be merging Fierce Telecom, Fierce Wireless and Silverlinings into Fierce NetworkSilverlinings was launched in late-2022 with a focus on cloud infrastructure. The new consolidated site will cover AI – Automation, Fixed & Mobile Broadband, Cloud Infrastructure, Application Modernization, Security and more. Fierce Network will be part of the Questex Technology group led by Market Leader Kevin Gray. With its official launch in April, the combination of the three news properties will have over 165,000 subscribers.

Jon Oltsik retires from Enterprise Strategy Group
Jon Oltsik has retired from Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), a division of TechTarget, Inc. Jon will still be acting as an analyst emeritus supporting the ESG team and plans to stay active within the cybersecurity community and continue blogging. Founded in 1999 and acquired by TechTarget in 2021, ESG provides comprehensive and actionable research, advisory, strategy, validation, and content services to help tech companies fully address go-to-market challenges and deliver better business outcomes.

Engadget Restructuring
Engadget, a technology journalism staple for more than two decades, has gone through a restructuring by its operating parent, Yahoo. Lost in the restructuring was both Dana Wollman, Editor-in-Chief, and Terrence O’Brien who held the position of Managing Editor. It has been reported that ten people at the outlet have lost their jobs and the editorial staff will be split into two sections. Historically, Engadget has been known for covering a variety of tech news and reviews of gadgets and an array of consumer electronics. Engadget will reportedly now focus its strategy on traffic and collaboration with sales and search engine operations.

Carl Ford leaves James Brehm & Associates
Carl Ford is leaving James Brehm & Associates where he held the position of Community Developer since 2018. Ford remains CEO of Crossfire Media, an event company focused on wireless technology. Ford is also a Content Producer for IoT Evolution Conference and Expo.
