Tole Hart has been laid off from the analyst firm. Tole was a research director for the Consumer Services group of the communications area of Gartner Technology & Service Provider research. His areas of coverage included mobile voice and data trends, mobile advertising, mobile VoIP, mobile applications and mobile Web, SMS campaigns, context-aware computing, mobile portals, mobile virtual network operations (MVNOs) and mobile entertainment. He had been with Gartner for 13 years. Prior to joining Gartner, Tole worked for Northern Business Information (NBI) as a senior analyst covering the wireless industry. He also worked at Frost & Sullivan as a profiles analyst. Tole is currently working as an independent wireless consultant.
