FierceMarkets – Monica Alleven has joined the telecom group at FierceMarkets as Editor of FierceWireless:Tech. In this role, she will write for FierceWireless:Tech as well as perform copyediting duties for FierceTelecom, FierceDeveloper and FierceOnlineVideo. Monica, formerly the Editor-in-Chief of Wireless Week, has been working with FierceMarkets as a part-time freelance copy editor since January. She will begin her new role on October 1, 2014.
Monica will replace Tammy Parker as Editor of FierceWireless:Tech. Formerly a Principal Analyst and Editor with Informa Telecoms & Media, Tammy is leaving FierceMarkets after two years of service for an analyst role at Current Analysis. Light Reading – Elizabeth Starr Miller Coyne has accepted the role of Editor of Light Reading’s The New IP site, focused on the business case of managing and orchestrating virtualized IP networks. Prior to joining Light Reading, she was the Senior Director of Marketing at TM Forum for three years. Light Reading boasts more than 300,000 subscribers each month.
eWeek – Michelle Maisto left her role as Senior Writer at eWeek after more than five years. Prior to this, she was a contributing editor for Mobile Enterprise, where she served as Editor-in-Chief. She is replaced by Todd Weiss, Senior Writer covering technology. Todd was formerly a Senior Reporter at Computer World. eWeek has a circulation of more than 225,000 monthly readers.
Analysys Mason – Dana Cooperson is now the Research Director for Analysys Mason’s network-focused software research programs, covering intelligent fixed and mobile network infrastructure. Prior to joining Analysys Mason, Dana worked for 16 years as an analyst, consultant and research manager at RHK and Ovum on topics such as optical networking, IP/Ethernet services, fixed and mobile access, and data center infrastructure.
