Reportedly, Gartner just had a big round of layoffs. Here’s what we know for sure – the following analysts are no longer with the company:
Mark Hung, Vice President, with Gartner since 2010. He led the IoT research agenda as the company’s lead analyst. He also covered edge AI and conversational AI platforms. Mark founded Gartner’s NFC research community, focusing on digital identity, mobile payments, and hardware-based security for IoT.
Amanda Sabia, Senior Principal Analyst in the Worldwide Personal Technologies and Markets group was at Gartner for more than 19 years. She led the consumer video media and connectivity forecasts research which studies consumers’ spending on technology in relation to demand and adoption of services such as broadband Internet access, video, voice, various OTT services, and the connected home.
Charlotte Patrick, Research Director, worked at Gartner for 13 years. She was a member of the telco strategy team which provided strategic advice to telcos and vendors selling to telcos on a range of corporate strategy issues.
Bryan Yeager, Senior Director, Analyst – Marketing Technology and Emerging Trends had been with Gartner since November 2016. He is now a market strategy manager at Spotify.
Sanna Korhonen, Managing Vice President served at Gartner since May 2014 and recently joined Nokia as Director, Corporate Strategy.
Nathan Nuttall, Senior Research Director & Agenda Manager, IoT Group was at Gartner since April 2015. He was tasked with driving thought leadership on IoT enablement of digital business models and transformation.
Lillian Tay, Sr Principal Analyst was with Gartner for more than 20 years covering the mobile and end computing market in Asia Pacific.
Matthew Cheung, Sr Director Analyst worked at Gartner for nearly 14 years. His areas of research included Infrastructure Software (Operating Systems, Open Source Software, OpenStack, Virtualization, Container), IaaS, PaaS, ITOM, Cloud Management Platform (CMP), and Multicloud Strategy. He is now an APJ Analyst Relations Manager at Dell Technologies.
Colin Fletcher, Research Director – IT Operations Management worked for Gartner since June 2012. He now serves as Strategic Marketing – Market Research and Customer Insights at GitLab Inc.
Bill Caffery, VP, Executive Partner was at Gartner for 12 years.
April Adams, Sr, Director Analyst worked at Gartner for 20 years. Her areas of coverage included software asset management (including SAM tools, governance, and policy), data center infrastructure management (DCIM), and distributed digital infrastructure management (DDIM).
Betty Zakheim, Senior Director Analyst was at Gartner since July 2017. She worked on the Application Architecture, Infrastructure and Integration team within the Gartner for IT Leaders research group. Her research area was application integration, with a focus on developing integration strategies and competencies that drive digital business transformation. She’s now the product owner at Scrum.org.
George Gilbert, Research Director, Data Management & Analytics was at Gartner since July 2018.
Raymond Laracuenta, Practice Vice President – Office of the CIO Research served at Gartner for nearly 24 years. He led an international team of managers and analysts developing CIO focused research (IT Management, Digital Business Transformation, AI, Blockchain, Innovation, Strategic Planning, Bimodal IT, etc) and associated advisory services.
Derek O’Donnell, Sr. Research Analyst, was with Gartner for six years. He was responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of several market forecasting models used in Gartner’s global economic forecasts.
