Nicholas Thompson Leaves Wired

Senior editor Nicholas Thompson has left the publication. He has joined the staff at The New Yorker as a senior editor. Replacing Nocholas at Wired will be Bill Wasik, who is leaving his position as a senior editor at Harper’s Magazine in late June.

Reed Sells Microprocessor Report

The Linley Group has purchased Microprocessor Report from Reed Business Information. The company let go of managing editor Leslie Fish and senior editor Max Baron. Publisher Linley Gwenapp and editor-in-chief Jim Turley have been hired. Jim has held editorial positions with Embedded Systems Design and Embedded Technology Journal in the past.

Jonathan Tombes Leaves Communications Technology

Editor Jonathan Tombes has left the publication after more than ten years. His areas of coverage included video, voice, data and wireless technologies. Jonathan has been replaced by Debra Baker who was named editor by Communications Technology. Previously, Debra was the vice president and managing editor at T3i Group LLC.
