The publication has provided daily commentary, news, expert analysis and practical guidance for IT and communications professionals since 2008, becoming part of Informa TechTarget in December 2024. Informa TechTarget continues to cover the broader B2B technology sector through its other publications. Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Schmeiser is moving to TechTarget to become lead editor for the data technologies group, while Matt Vartabedian is now working as a reporter on the CX Dive team covering customer service and support from the view of the CXOs and chief customer officers. CXDive largely covers business news for customer experience decision makers.
Zeff moves to The Wall Street Journal: Maxwell Zeff has left WIRED and joined The Wall Street Journal, where he will continue to cover OpenAI, Anthropic and the wider AI industry. He called out the “brilliant colleagues” he had worked with as Tech Reporter at Wired as he announced his last issue of Wired’s Model Behavior newsletter. In addition to Wired, Zeff has previously worked at TechCrunch and Bloomberg News among other publications.
Axios hires Olson: Bradley Olson is becoming Managing Editor, Artificial Intelligence & Technology at Axios. Olson has worked at the Wall Street Journal for more than 11 years as Deputy Tech Bureau Chief and Tech Editor, National Energy Correspondent and before that was an Energy Reporter for Bloomberg. In this new role, he will lead a team reporting on the companies, people and rapidly evolving technologies shaping business and society. Axios publisher, Nicholas Johnston said of Olson, “His expertise and leadership will help us continue to deliver ambitious, essential reporting as AI transforms nearly every corner of our world.”
Bloomberg News hires Chmielewski: Dawn Chmielewski has joined the LA office of Bloomberg News, where she will work as a news editor with the entertainment, media and telecom team. Her previous roles include Senior Editor, Media, Entertainment and Technology at Forbes, and U.S. Entertainment Business Correspondent for Reuters, a position she held for five years.
Chandonnet takes on new role at Business Insider: Henry Chandonnet has taken on the role of Senior Reporter at Business Insider covering AI and tech culture. Chandonnet joined the publication a little over a year ago. He has previously worked for Fast Company and V Magazine, among others.
Dahlkamp hired by POLITICO: Owen Dahlkamp has recently joined POLITICO as Congress Tech Reporter. He will cover tech in politics (AI, social media and beyond). Dahlkamp has worked as a Tech Reporting Intern at the publication since graduating from Brown University in May.
