The analyst firm announced an investment plan of $10 million to support the strategic expansion of its research on the impact of global connectivity, what it terms “Anywhere.” The firm plans to grow the industry analyst staff and is recruiting a new CEO. Funded by Alta Communications, a private equity firm and the company’s majority shareholder, the investment will serve to double the company’s research team over the next two years. It will also deepen the company’s research and data portfolio to further address the 4G marketplace and augment its analysis of the impact of rising user demand on telecommunications networks. Emily Nagle Green, Yankee Group’s current CEO and president, joined the company in 2005 and will transition to chairman of the board later this year. She will continue in a thought leadership role, including speaking on the impact of global connectivity in support of ANYWHERE.
