Kelly McGuire and Marisa Torrieri have joined TMCnet as Web editors covering Wireless and IP Communications technologies, respectively. Prior to joining TMC, Kelly was an editor at IHS Herold, a global research company in the energy industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a minor in English and a certification in professional writing and technical communication. Before joining TMC, Marisa was a freelance writer and editor for a number of health and high-tech publications, including RFID News, Laptop magazine and RFID Update. She has also written for Metromix New York, The Village Voice, The Washington Post and other consumer media outlets. Marisa started in telecom writing nine years ago as the editor of Wireless Data News, a B2B publication based out of Rockville, Maryland, where she covered industry news and attended dozens of trade shows, including CTIA and PCIA. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from The University of Maryland, in College Park.
