Light Reading – An online community for the global communications sector, Light Reading has named Craig Matsumoto as Editor-in-Chief. Craig returns to Light Reading after previously serving as Managing Editor from 2002 to 2013. He’s spent the last three years as Managing Editor at SDxCentral, a news and resource site for Software-defined Everything. Craig is taking over for Ray Le Maistre, Light Reading’s EIC for the past four years. Based in the UK, Ray will now serve as Light Reading’s International Group Editor with prime responsibility for editorial operations beyond the Americas.

Based in San Jose, CA, Craig is tasked with the overall editorial responsibility for Light Reading group’s digital properties which, in addition to Light Reading, also include Telecoms.com, Telco Transformation, UBB2020, Connecting Africa and the newly launched Enterprise Cloud News, an online resource tracking, analyzing and reporting on all major developments in the enterprise cloud market. New editorial hires made by Light Reading in 2017 also include Scott Ferguson as Co-Editor of Enterprise Cloud News and former InformationWeek Executive Editor Curtis Franklin as Security Editor who will also lead the upcoming launch of a dedicated network security digital community.
