IDC – John Jackson has left his position as Vice President of Research at CCS Insight to join IDC’s Consumer, Clients, Broadband and New Media Research Group as Research Vice President, Mobile & Connected Platforms. His areas of focus include mobile technologies, semiconductor and infrastructure suppliers, and device manufacturing and distribution strategies. John spent four years at CCS Insight covering mobile and wireless technologies. Prior to that, he was VP of Research at Yankee Group’s Wireless/Mobile Technologies Decision Service, where he led research on a range of topics, including devices, infrastructure, regulations and standards for more than seven years.
