AMR Research was acquired by Gartner for $64m in an effort to expand research coverage, consulting, events and other services, acquire their client base and acquire their sales representatives. AMR is primarily focused on ERP/enterprise applications, manufacturing, supply chain, retail and sourcing. L. Frank Kenney, research director covering marketing and advertising technology trends has left for a position at Ipswitch. No replacement has been named.
