Nick Holland Leaving Yankee Group, Brian Riggs Joins Ovum and more

Yankee Group – Nick Holland is leaving his position as Principal Analyst, Mobile Money Strategies at Yankee Group. Nick had been with the analyst firm since June 2010, researching key trends in the evolution of mobile payments and the greater value proposition of mobile as a conduit between online and offline domains. His specific areas of coverage included: digital wallet strategies, mobile retail, loyalty and couponing, alternative payments, m-POS, disintermediation plays. Yankee Group has been plagued by many organizational changes over the last few years including several top analysts jumping ship, implementing an affiliate program, selling the 4G World conference and being acquired by The 451 Group. Mobile Money was a key area for Yankee Group. A replacement for Nick has not yet been named.

Current Analysis – Research Director, Brian Riggs has left his position at Current Analysis to join Ovum as a Principal Analyst covering the unified communications market. Brian had been with Current Analysis for nearly 12 years. Prior to this, he served as an analyst at Gartner. There’s no word yet who will replace Brian at Current Analysis.

Mashable – Kate Freeman has left her position as a tech reporter at Mashable. She had been with the site since December 2011. A replacement has not been named. Mashable receives more than 14 million unique visitors each month.
