Bloomberg News: Elizabeth Wasserman has joined Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C., as technology regulations editor. Previously, she served as the technology editor for POLITICO. Before POLITICO, she worked for publications such as The Post Standard, the Orlando Sentinel, Long Island’s Newsday, and the San Jose Mercury News. In Wasserman’s goodbye note to her readers, she writes that Bloomberg made her an offer she simply couldn’t refuse.
The New York Times: Glenn Kramon was recently named technology editor at The New York Times. He is slated to begin his duties in March 2013 by moving to the San Francisco bureau. Glenn is currently serving as the assistant managing editor for enterprise at the paper, a position he’s held since 2006.In 1987, Glenn joined The Times as a copy editor and health care reporter. Since then, he’s also held the positions of assignment editor, technology editor, enterprise editor, Sunday business editor and deputy business editor.
Gizmodo: Eric Limer has been promoted to staff writer at Gizmodo. Eric writes news articles covering a wide variety of topics including science, gadget reviews and all types of consumer technology. Reiman has been named president of Broadband Communities, a magazine publishing and conference company with a mission of “building a fiber-connected world.” He is also slated to be named CEO later in 2013. Since 2009, Jeffrey has been the head of strategic planning and governmental affairs for The Broadband Group, a Las Vegas-based consulting firm, where he worked nationwide to incorporate fiber-based broadband networks, applications, and services into community infrastructure plans. He joinsBroadband Communities with hopes to lead the organization into a new series of broadband conferences and new media distributions.
