San Francisco Chronicle – James Temple was named a technology columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle. His column, Dot-commentary, runs Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and focuses on technology legal issues, public policy and innovation. He most recently served as a technology industry reporter since August 2009 and, prior to that, he covered commercial and residential real estate. Business and technology editor Marcus Chan will leave the San Francisco Chronicle in mid-July to join Bloomberg.com as technology editor. Chan has overseen business content at the Chronicle since January 2010, and technology content since April 2009. A replacement for him has not been named. San Francisco Chronicle reaches 380,000 readers each week.
