Michael Gartenberg has departed Altimeter Group to join Gartner. Michael joined Altimeter Group as a Partner in February 2010 from Interpret LLC, where he was vice president of strategy and analysis. He was long associated with Jupiter Research (now part of Forrester Research as a vice president and research director.
