Forrester Research will acquire SiriusDecisions — a business-to-business research firm that has a platform for marketing, sales and product management methodologies — for $245 million. This move will enable Forrester to better target chief marketing officers. The two firms will combine strategy research and consulting with operations. The purchase is expected to close in January and the deal is expected to add $100 million in revenue for Forrester in 2019. SiriusDecisions will remain a distinct brand within the Forrester Group, and no management changes are expected as a result of the acquisition.
