Charlene Li, former Forrester social media analyst and co-author of Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies, founded the Altimeter Group; a strategy consulting firm focused on leadership and management, customer strategy, enterprise strategy, and innovation and practice. Deborah Schultz and former Forrester analysts R “Ray” Wang and Jeremiah Owyang have joined the firm as partners. Ray Wang served as a vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research. He covered enterprise resource planning and software licensing and pricing. He also contributed to the The Forrester Blog for Application Development & Program Management Professionals. Ray will continue to write the blog, A Software Insider’s Point of View. He will lead Altimeter Group’s Enterprise Strategy practice. Jeremiah Owyang joined Forrester two years ago and covered social media. He will now lead the Customer Strategy Practice at Altimeter Group. Deborah Schultz was formerly a marketing director at Six Apart before starting her own consulting practice; she is now in charge of Altimeter Group’s Innovation and Best Practices group.
