More staff cuts have taken place at Wired. Managing editor Marty Cortinas will be leaving the publication by the end of 2009. He has been with the organization since 2003, where he started as a part-time assignment editor. He left his position briefly to write a book about online poker and returned to Wired full-time as the managing editor in 2007. New York editor, Mark Horowitz, announced his departure yesterday via his Twitter account. Mark had been with Wired since 2005. He previously worked as an executive editor at Men’s Journal. Copy chief Tony Long will also be leaving the publication at the end of 2009. Tony has held his position at Wired for 11 years. He previously worked as a copy chief at CMP Media.
