R. Scott Raynovich, founder and publisher of Contentinople has been let go from the organization. Light Reading has decided to do away with the Contentinople brand all together. The site’s news will be archived on the Cable Digital News site. Scott was a member of the original Light Reading editorial team, joining the publication in April 2000. Scott has also written for Unstrung and Internet Evolution. Contentinople, a website covering the rise of the digital media industry, was launched in 2007. Areas of coverage for the publication included digital content development, video sharing, CNDs, P2P technology, DRM software, mobile content platforms and networked consumer devices. Ryan Lawler, senior editor of Contentinople, will work for Cable Digital News going forward. Ryan’s coverage for Contentinople consisted of online video platforms, DRM, interactive advertising. Ryan has worked within the Light Reading family since March 2007.
