Laura Nickel has nearly 15 years of experience working in all areas of marketing communications, including public relations, social media management, crisis and reputation management, media training and marketing support.
She holds a deep understanding of communications around social media, search engine optimization, mobile user experience and content management in B2B as well as B2C environments.
Laura has managed agencies and staff to implement traditional public relations, social media marketing, national events, speaker’s bureau and overall wireless brand strategy.
She has also managed corporate media relations, including the development of consumer facing materials, brand events and national campaigns. Laura has executed news releases, product articles and internal company-wide information for national organizations including U.S. Cellular, Career Education Corporation and Wilson Sporting Goods.
Laura has secured coverage in traditional media as well as social media for national corporate campaigns in the wireless industry. She’s taken a lead role in managing brand reputation by overseeing crisis communications that align with legal, tech, regulatory and marketing needs.
She holds two B.A. degrees in Graphic Design and English from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
