GigaOM – Jonathan Vanian has joined Gigaom as an Enterprise Technology Writer. Jonathan will write for the site’s Cloud and Data channels covering enterprise startups, web-scale computing challenges and DevOps. Prior to joining GigaOM, Jonathan served at Better Software Magazine and Sticky Minds, and has also worked as a legal reporter. GigaOM has a monthly global audience of more than 5.5 million.

 

Mashable – Andy Fixmer has been named Special Projects Editor at Mashable covering big-picture stories that focus on the forces changing technology, entertainment and social media. He joins from Bloomberg News, where he most recently covered film, television and music. Mashable receives more than 20 million unique visitors each month.

 

The Wall Street Journal – Christopher Mims has been named a Tech Columnist at The Wall Street Journal. He will contribute a weekly column to the print edition of the paper, along with columns and blog posts to WSJD.com, the Journal’s tech site. Chris joins from Quartz, where he served as Technology and Science Editor. The WSJ has an average weekday circulation of 2.4 million, including print and digital subscribers.

 

Forbes - Ryan Mac is dropping his wealth beat to cover technology full-time for the San Francisco bureau. He will now cover e-commerce, but also plans to continue to cover the music beat as needed. Ryan has been with Forbes since December 2011 when he started as a wealth intern after working at The New York Times and Bloomberg. Forbes has a circulation of more than 900K readers per month.
