VentureBeat, which also produces DEMO, built on the success of the sold out 2008 and 2009 MobileBeat conferences and introduced a new two-day format for this year’s show to offer expanded content and networking.
VentureBeat was founded in late 2006 by Matt Marshall, a former venture capital reporter for the San Jose Mercury News. VentureBeat’s mission is to provide news about innovation for forward-thinking executives. The MobileBeat conference did not include a traditional exhibit hall. Instead, the focus was on bringing together mobile developers, investors, executives, entrepreneurs, marketers and press to talk about the next wave of mobile innovation.
